Music Ministry

DSC_4668-1024x682Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised..." Psalm 145:3

The purpose of the North Hills Music Ministry is to lead believers in glorifying God through the corporate singing of traditional hymns as well as contemporary Christian songs. The goal of such worship is a deeper delight in who God is and in what He has done for us in Jesus Christ. True worship is empowered by the Holy Spirit and accords with Biblical truth. Although the primary purpose is to facilitate worship amongst believers, we are also called to declare the glories of our Lord to all who are yet to place their trust in the saving grace of Jesus Christ. "And He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear, and will trust in the Lord" Psalm 40:3.

Our Music Ministry is comprised of :
a. Instrumentalists
b. Vocalists
c. Audio/Visual Technicians
d. Congregation

Worship Team:

II Chronicles 5:13,14 "It came to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord: and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endures for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God."

Instrumental and vocal participation in worship leadership should be Spirit-led with a goal of excellence in preparation and presentation. We humbly offer our best sacrifice of praise to God in a manner that facilitates corporate worship and singing.
"Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come before him!
Worship the Lord in splendor of holiness;"
1 Chronicles 16:29

Christians interested in participating on the worship team should contact the Worship Leader and be willing to attend weekly rehearsals to acquaint themselves with the music and have their skills suitably assigned.
